According to reports, Asus is planning to partner with Tencent Games, the makers of PUBG in China, to promote the upcoming Asus ROG Phone. It should be noted that Asus ROG gaming smartphone was among the first handsets to be launched in India dedicated solely for gaming. There were other gaming smartphones as well such as Xiaomi’s Black Shark and the Razer Phone 2, however these devices never made it to India. The first ROG gaming phone was powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC along with Liquid Cooling to make sure that the handset remained cool even when used for playing extensive games. According to Asus, the ROG Phone could play any mobile game without any lags or any performance issues. And we expect something even better in the next iteration of the ROG Phone. According to a report by Digitimes, the Taiwanese electronic maker will most likely be teaming up with Tencent to promote the device in China. If the said partnership happens between the two companies, then we will get to see a renewed ROG Phone. Moreover, Asus has also started focusing more on the premium and gaming category of smartphones instead of the of mid-range and entry-level devices to cover its losses.
In the next iteration of ROG gaming phone from Asus, we can see a new and top-end line of gaming hardware and software for the device. And teaming up with the Chinese game maker, we can expect that the smartphone will most probably launch first in the Chinese market and then make its way towards the other markets of the world. Other details about the next ROG Phone will be revealed by the company at the Q3 2019. Furthermore, the first ROG Phone which is priced at Rs 69,999 was launched in India last year and it was solely made for gaming. Its hardware and software were tuned for gaming as well. The ROG Phone received good reviews from the fans and critics alike. The ROG Phone came with 90Hz display which was faster than other smartphones in the Indian market, it also came with air triggers which could be used for gaming. The next ROG Phone could be launched by Asus in the third-half of the year. For the latest gadget and tech news, and gadget reviews, follow us on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
