The handset will succeed the ROG Phone that was launched in August last year. The company has confirmed that it will be launching its new gaming-centric Asus ROG Phone II on July 23. According to Asus, the Kryo 485 Prime CPU in the Snapdragon 855 Plus runs at up to 2.96GHz and will offer a 4.2% improvement as compared to the 2.84GHz that was present on the Snapdragon 855 SoC. It has also been announced that the Adreno 640 GPU in Snapdragon 855 Plus is clocked 15% faster than 855 SoC. Other than this, it has also been confirmed that Asus ROG Phone II will feature a 120Hz display and house a massive RAM. The only other smartphone to have a display with 120HN refresh rate is Razer Phone 2, which is also known for its gaming capabilities. Asus ROG Phone 2 will be launched in two variants and will reportedly hold a starting price of CNY 4,399 (approximately Rs 44,400.
