When the Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg’s channel Pewdiepie started competing against T-series he released a video song named ‘Bitch Lasagna’ in which he dissed the label making company. The whole track is full of some racist things and him dissing the company. While the second song named ‘Congratulations’ was released when T-series overlapped Felix’s channel by over 50,000 subscribers. In his second video, the YouTuber went too far by saying some pretty racist things. Although before the launch of the second song, the YouTuber’s loss was certain but later he was backed by two other YouTubers with millions of subscribers which put him back in the race. And now he has taken a lead over T-series to become the number 1 channel on YouTube. On that note, T-series’ CEO asked the Indians and the Indian YouTubers to support and back the record label company to reach the number 1 position. After that, the number of subscribers of the company grew but it couldn’t reach Pewdiepie’s level.

As noted by Bar&Bench, “The Delhi High Court has directed YouTube to remove two songs published by Swedish YouTuber PewDiePie from its platform. The interim order was granted by a Single Judge Bench of Justice Jayant Nath in a suit preferred by T-Series owner Super Cassettes Pvt Ltd., seeking to permanently restrain Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, better known as PewDiePie, from uploading the songs titled ‘T-Series Diss Track/Bitch Lasagna’ and ‘Congratulations’.” After the Delhi High Court’s verdict, an obvious video was released by Pewdiepie. In his video, he said, “Imagine if YouTube complies with this Indian law and judgement and removes PewDiePie’s videos.” Even in the newly released video he mentioned some racist things about the country and its people. And knowing the fact that most of his fans are teenagers and young adults who wouldn’t mind hacking into someone’s computers and printers to ask them to subscribe to Pewdiepie’s channel it makes sense that no one would be offended by his videos (at least his fanbase). Competing against a company is one thing but playing dirty and being a racist and a white supremist is another. Who wins or who loses doesn’t matter if they play fair but if they don’t maybe the platform, YouTube itself should take some strict action.
